You’ve suggested I collate all of my ‘look’ ideas (magazine cut-outs, photos, colours, swatches, ideas and sketches) and bring them to my first meeting – why is this so important?
We want to build the home of your dreams – but we can’t do it without your help! The more clearly we understand your vision, the easier it is to bring it to life. Establishing a clear set of expectations – from both sides – also helps us to provide an accurate quote that covers all of your costs, to ensure the end result is everything you dreamed it would be.
Can you quote me a cost per square metre for my new home?
There’s a huge amount of work that goes into building a new home. And although some costs can be broken down into individual components, it’s not easy – or practical – to provide quotes on a per square metre basis.
But don’t stress. What we can do is sit down and have an obligation free meeting with you to discuss your vision for your project and whether or not this is likely to be feasible within your budget. Then if you choose to have finalised plans drawn up, we can work out the complete costings and provide you with a detailed quote covering your entire project so that you know exactly what you’re up for before work begins. That way you have the added reassurance that there won’t be any nasty surprises along the way.
I already have plans drawn up – can you work with them?
Yes – we’re more than happy to quote on finalised plans. However, if you choose to work with your own architect or draftsman, it’s a good idea to include your builder during the design phase. That way, you get the right design, along with the certainty that your build can be completed within your budget. If you’re at design stage and would like us to be involved, let us know and we’ll set things up.
I need council approval before I can start my build. Are you able to take care of that for me?
Absolutely. In fact, we do it for clients all the time, so it’s often quicker – and easier – if we take care of it for you. So don’t stress, we’ve got it all under control.
I can’t wait to see my new home take shape. Will I have access to the site during construction?
Building a new home is one of the most exciting experiences of your life, and we want you to enjoy every second. That’s why Aaron’s available throughout your build, and can organise regular site inspections as your build progresses.
