From the gracious wrap-around verandas to the decorative finials adorning the gabled roofline, the construction of this single-level, 270-sq/m home called for the highest level of craftsmanship, with every element custom-designed and made to meet the highly detailed client brief.
We chose Hardie Scyon for the external cladding, as it emulates the classic look of traditional weatherboards. Colorbond roofing, awnings, painted timber veranda posts and elegant fretwork complete the picture.
The front entryway, framed in custom-made leadlight windows, sets the scene for this home’s charming interiors. The generously-proportioned rooms feature timber flooring and soaring 3.3-metre, rose-adorned ceilings with wide cornices. An ornate period-style archway, complete with detailed moulding, leads into an airy, open-plan living space.
The home cleverly combines the visual charm of yesteryear with 21st century lifestyle sensibilities. This is particularly evident in the kitchen, where the painted timber cabinets, heritage door hardware, and a mantlepiece above the cooktop underpin the period aesthetic. An island bench seamlessly transitions the kitchen into the living area, and a practical butler’s pantry is tucked away behind the feature joinery.
The high calibre of finish throughout this Victorian beauty is testament to the skill and dedication of our carpentry team. Every element – from the tall skirting boards, sash windows, intricately profiled architraves, custom-made doors and carved mantlepieces – has been realised with integrity and care.
