Luxury living on sweeping plains: Rural Retreat

The Rural Retreat

Set on a hill overlooking the 60-acre property in the Bugle Ranges, this Rural Retreat was created for a couple who believe that a ‘forever home’ is a place for living. Entertaining. And is best when shared with family and friends.

The design for this home? Left no stone unturned. Brushed by the northern sun, the home is positioned to maximise the surrounding views and captivate from every angle.

Working side-by-side with our clients, we enhanced their original designs by increasing the size of their living areas, ensured they got the right approvals from council, and transformed their blueprints into a luxurious rural refuge.

From land to lifestyle

The home’s exterior? Created with five different materials brought together with seamless precision. Crisp white rendered brickwork is punctuated by the dramatic shadow lines of grey Scyon Matrix cladding. And mini-orb and bluestone feature work reference the home’s rural setting.

Entering the 546-square metre home, you’ll be struck by something a little unexpected – a two-way aquarium where fish showcase their technicolour hues to both the entry vestibule and the living room. As you move into the home, you’ll instantly feel warm. Welcome. Relaxed. The open-plan living, kitchen, and dining space feels airy and effortlessly luxurious.

Let your mind trace the raked ceiling to the 6-metre peak of the skillion roof, where sunshine spills through the highlight windows.

The alfresco living space flows seamlessly into the main living area via floor-to-ceiling glazing, and features an inbuilt kitchen and outdoor fireplace overlooking the infinity pool.

The details

  • In the ensuite? Marble-look large format tiles, a stone splashback, and matte black tapware.
  • Bespoke blackbutt joinery framing a recessed window on the home’s front.
  • Frameless floor-to-ceiling corner windows.
