Our client, having lived in an older-style farmhouse for many years, was looking for a change: a home with a fresh, modern appeal and welcoming ambiance. We worked hard to create a design that delivered the right balance.
The exterior is postcard-perfect, with its gabled Colourbond roof and crisp mushroom-and-white colour scheme. A low-set border of coffee-coloured accent brickwork gives this otherwise classic exterior a subtle contemporary twist.
The home was designed to maximise the intersect between indoor and outdoor living, with a large alfresco ‘room’ opening out from the main living area. A ceiling fan and retractable blinds ensure this gorgeous space can be enjoyed year-round. Inside, the emphasis is on space and light, and the neutral colour palette is the perfect backdrop for a restrained selection of statement inclusions. The timber and glass interior doors echo the striking aesthetic of the oversize front entryway. Glass pendant lights and embossed tiling to the kitchen and adjoining butler’s pantry and add a hint of heritage charm.
